I design and build WordPress websites that are clear, fast, mobile-friendly, search-aware and easy to manage. You work directly with me from the first conversation through to launch, without an agency account team or outsourced developer in between.
A business website has several jobs at once. It needs to look credible, explain the offer quickly, work properly on a phone, support search visibility and make the next step obvious.
The design should look professional and current without getting in the way of what the visitor actually came to find.
Visitors should understand what you do, who it is for and what they should do next without hunting through the site.
Site structure, headings, internal links, speed and semantic HTML are far easier to get right during the build than repair afterwards.
Mobile usability is not a smaller desktop design. Navigation, calls to action, typography and layouts need to work at each screen size.
I approach web design with a digital marketing mindset. The website is there to support the business, not win a design award nobody asked for.
I handle the core work personally so design, content structure, SEO, performance and conversion are considered together rather than passed between separate departments.
I start with the services, users, search demand and commercial priorities before deciding what pages the site actually needs. This gives the website a logical structure rather than simply recreating your current menu with a newer design.
I build in WordPress using Elementor where it is the right fit, with layouts designed around the content and brand rather than dropping your logo into an unchanged theme.
The build includes sensible page hierarchy, crawlable navigation, headings, internal linking, metadata setup, image optimisation, schema where appropriate and the technical foundations needed for ongoing SEO .
I optimise images, code delivery, caching and other technical elements so the finished site is not unnecessarily weighed down by the build itself. Performance is considered from the start, not added as a final plugin.
I design around the questions, proof and calls to action a buyer needs at each stage. Contact forms, phone actions, trust signals and supporting content are placed deliberately rather than scattered around the page.
Where required I configure Google Analytics 4, Search Console and key enquiry tracking so you can see what happens after launch. The site is tested before going live and normal post-launch issues are dealt with directly.
AI is useful for speeding up certain parts of development, research and testing. The important design, UX, technical and commercial decisions still sit with me.
I use AI selectively where it can reduce repetitive work or help me explore technical solutions more quickly.
A website still needs judgement. AI does not know your customers, commercial priorities or what should dominate a page unless somebody with context makes those decisions.
A straightforward process with one point of contact throughout.
We discuss the business, customers, existing site, goals and functionality you actually need.
I plan the sitemap, content hierarchy, important journeys and overall design direction.
I design and develop the pages, refine the mobile experience and add the agreed functionality.
Pages, forms, responsive behaviour, performance, tracking and technical SEO are checked before launch.
The site goes live, redirects and tracking are checked, and I remain available for support afterwards.
I can continue supporting the site after launch or connect the build with the marketing activity it was created to support.
Ongoing technical, local, content and authority work after the website is ready to compete.
Explore SEO services →Service pages, articles, guides and content refreshes built around search and conversion.
Explore content marketing →Hosting, backups, security and technical management if you would rather not deal with the infrastructure yourself.
Explore managed hosting →Ongoing updates, fixes, changes and technical help once the website is live.
Explore WordPress support →Practical website chatbots that can answer common questions and support lead generation.
Explore AI chatbots →Paid search campaigns aligned with landing pages and conversion paths on the new site.
Explore PPC management →Most of my work is with SMEs and owner-managed businesses that need a professional website to support enquiries, sales and search visibility.
I am based in Leigh-on-Sea and work with businesses across Southend, Rayleigh, Benfleet, Basildon, Billericay, Brentwood, Chelmsford and the wider county.
Website planning, design, development, reviews and training can all be handled remotely, so geography does not limit the project.
I also build and support WordPress websites for businesses outside the UK, including organisations targeting British customers.
You do not need to coordinate a designer, developer, SEO consultant and account manager just to get a business website launched.
You speak directly to me throughout the project rather than communicating through a project manager.
I do not sell the project and quietly pass the build to an unknown external developer.
Search structure and technical foundations are considered while the website is being built.
Design decisions come back to what the visitor needs to understand and what the business needs them to do.
I am comfortable getting into performance, tracking, integrations and technical implementation when the project needs it.
Hosting and support are available after launch, but you are not required to buy them to keep your website.
Tell me what your business does, what is wrong with the current site and what the new website needs to achieve. I will tell you how I would approach the project.
